Questions and Answers about the New Apostolic Faith

“ Questions and Answers about the New Apostolic Faith ” (short: “Questions and Answers”, Q&A ) was a textbook for the New Apostolic confirmation class . In this “ short catechism ” the basic structure of the New Apostolic faith is dealt with in question-and-answer form. It contains 258 questions and answers.

The textbook “I too want ...” has been used in New Apostolic confirmation classes since 1994. "Questions and Answers" has only had a supplementary function in the lessons since then.

The 1992 version, which was in use until 2012, was corrected in 2005 and five questions were added.

With the publication of the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church in 2012, this book was replaced as an official textbook and has not been published since. A similar short version in the familiar question-and-answer form is planned for the new catechism.

The individual questions in "Questions and Answers" were divided into seven parts:

  1. The Bible (Questions 1-8)
  2. God, his creation and revelation up to the birth of Jesus Christ (Questions 9-65)
  3. Jesus Christ and His Mission (Questions 66-120)
  4. The Holy Spirit, the Apostles and the First Apostolic Church (Questions 121-147)
  5. Development of the Christian Church up to the 19th century (questions 148 - 166)
  6. The New Apostolic Church as the Church of Jesus Christ in the completion time (questions 167 - 249)
  7. Future and Eternity (Questions 250-263)
