Francis Mansel
Sir Francis Mansel, 1st Baronet (also Francis Maunsell ), (* around 1570, † around 1628) was a Welsh nobleman.
Francis Mansel came from the old Welsh Mansel family . He was the third son of Sir Edward Mansel and Jane Somerset, daughter of Henry Somerset, 2nd Earl of Worcester . He and his older brother Anthony Mansel married Mary and Catherine Morgan , the daughters and heiresses of Henry Morgan , the owner of Muddlescombe at Kidwelly in Carmarthenshire . Francis Mansel came into joint ownership of the estate, and his wife also inherited the Llandeilo Abercywyn estate near Llangynog . - Sir Anthony Mansel († 1643)
- Richard Mansel
Since his brother Anthony and his wife Mary died with no surviving descendants, Francis Mansel's eldest son Walter Muddlescombe inherited.
