Francisco Garza Gutiérrez
Francisco Garza Gutiérrez (born March 14, 1904 ; † unknown) was a Mexican football player who acted in defense . He was a younger brother of Rafael Garza Gutiérrez , who is seen as the actual founder of Club América . Both brothers played their entire lives exclusively for this club and the Mexican national team .
biography
Francisco Garza Gutiérrez experienced the first golden era of Club America, which was champion of the capital league four times in a row between 1925 and 1928 . It can be assumed that Francisco Garza was part of the squad of all four championship teams, but was not necessarily part of the regular formation in those years; at least his name only appears in the chronicle of the championship teams in the 1926/27 season.
His only official international match dates from July 19, 1930 and took place during the first soccer World Cup in 1930 against Argentina (3: 6). He also played at least one unofficial international match at the inauguration of Parque Necaxa on September 14, 1930, when a Mexican team lost 4-5 to the hosts .
