Frank Blackaby

Frank Thomas Blackaby (born October 25, 1921 - May 18, 2000 ) was a peace researcher and director of the Stockholm Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) from 1981 to 1986.

After studying at Cambridge, Blackaby worked at the National Institute for Economic and Social Research in London. In 1968 he came to SIPRI and was its director from 1981 to 1986. After his return to London, he became involved in the peace movement against nuclear weapons. He was active in the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament , the British National Peace Council and the British Pugwash group .
