The Franken Guss Kitzingen GmbH & Co. KG is a company for iron - and aluminum castings from Kitzingen in Lower Franconia . As Metall- und Schrott AG, the company began casting iron in 1922, but was taken over by Fichtel & Sachs AG in 1932. In 1994 it functioned as Sachs Gießerei GmbH until it was subsequently taken over by ZF AG. After a brief joint venture with MTI in 2005 and its takeover, the company had to file for bankruptcy until it was re-established in 2009 under its current name.
