Franco-Belgian

The term French-Belgian (or French-Belgian) may have different meanings. This adjective has a similar structure and is to be understood analogously to French-Canadian and can have the following meanings in particular:

• between the states of France and Belgium, for example Franco-Belgian government consultations, Franco-Belgian relations
• French and Belgian: at the French-Belgian comic says French Belgian French or Belgian (and Luxembourgish) , so a contiguous linguistic and cultural region of Western Europe (but here without Switzerland).
• Concerning part of Belgium, namely the French Community of Belgium . This is often equated with Wallonia ; today, however, the Walloon Region and the French Community of Belgium are different entities.
  Example: A film is said to be a Franco-Belgian production . With “Belgian-French” or “Belgian-French” one can clearly express that producers from two countries are involved. The term “Franco-Belgian-Luxembourgish production” does not make it unequivocally clear whether the French are involved.
