František Čech-Vyšata

František Čech-Vyšata (aka: František Vyšata ; born February 14, 1881 in Chlumany ; † October 3, 1942 in Sobíňov ) was a Czech travel writer.

Vyšata undertook three extensive trips through South America in the years 1910 to 1913, 1924 to 1925 and 1927 to 1937. There he lived with Czech exiles in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay and published reports in the foreign press of the respective countries . In connection with his homeland, he took the name Čech on his travels. In 1937 he married and settled in Nová Ves near Sobíňov. He has written several books about his travels.
