The French prisoner of war memorial is a memorial in Darmstadt .
History and description
The French POW monument reminds of the deceased in German captivity in Darmstadt French prisoners of war First World War .
The complex consists of three parts: a simple wall with the names of the fallen, a relief and a sculpture .
The realistically designed sculpture shows a dying, naked soldier who longingly looks up at the relief. The relief shows a harmonious picture of a mother with her children.
The grave is in the Waldfriedhof Darmstadt at L 3f
