Franz Hauk
Franz Peter Hauk (* 1955 in Neuburg adDonau ) is a German organist.
Career
Hauk has been organist at Ingolstadt's Liebfrauenmünster since 1992 . He is the founder of the “Orgelage Ingolstadt” and has been its artistic director ever since. On his initiative, the “Organ matinees at twelve o'clock” have taken place in Ingolstadt every Sunday since 1990. In 1994 he founded a youth orchestra academy, from which the BR orchestra academy emerged.
He played a key role in the rediscovery of the composer Johann Simon Mayr in Germany and took over the management of the Simon Mayr Society.
