Franz Nock

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franz Nock (born August 7, 1936 in Kriegstetten ) is a Swiss artist and horse dresser .

Life and circus career

Franz Nock was born in a circus wagon from Circus Nock . He was trained by his father at an early age and soon became a crowd favorite. The hard training was the basis for later artistic excellence, such as the "Floating Ladder" presented in 1955 with his sister Elvira . Tricks on a 24 meter high swaying mast or a pyramid of chairs that stood on four bottles were also spectacular. Nock turned down offers to perform in the United States to run the family's Nock circus. Later his focus shifted to horse training, which his daughter Franziska Nock later took over.

He is married to Verena Nock-Hochstrasser and has three daughters, in addition to the aforementioned Franziska, the contortionist Verena Nock and Alexandra Nock, who also followed in her father's footsteps in the trapeze.
