Francis as a messenger of peace is a sculpture by the sculptor Martin Meyer .

The large sculpture of St. Francis of Assisi made of bronze dates from 1978/79. It was originally located on Sonnenstrasse in Munich in front of the former post office. It was later dismantled and re-erected in the Munich district of Lehel in front of the monastery church of St. Anna im Lehel , where the Munich Franciscans are also located. Francis as a messenger of peace depicts a saint striding, over his shoulder two doves with outspread wings.
