The Fred Henne Territorial Park is a provincial park in the Canadian Northwest Territories . Unlike most of the other Canadian provinces, the provincial parks in the Northwest Territory are called Territorial Parks .
The park is named after Fred Henne , a former Mayor of Yellowknife.
The park is located on Long Lake , northwest of Yellowknife . The park can be reached from Yellowknife via the Yellowknife Highway (Northwest Territories Highway 3). The park is only separated from Yellowknife Airport by the highway .
The park, located on the so-called Frontier Trail , has 105 parking spaces (some of which can be reserved) for campers and tents and has sanitary facilities with showers. The park also has a so-called day use area .
