Fregoli syndrome
People with the Fregoli syndrome (also Fregoli illusion ) are delusively convinced that people in their environment have visually changed and appear as different people. The syndrome usually occurs in the context of schizophrenic diseases.
The name of the syndrome goes back to the Italian quick-change artist and actor Leopoldo Fregoli .
