Freixo de Cima is a place and a former municipality in northwest Portugal .
Freixo de Cima belongs to the Amarante county in the Porto district . The community had an area of 3 km² and 2207 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Freixo de Cima and Freixo de Baixo were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Freixo de Cima e de Baixo . Freixo de Cima is the seat of this newly formed community.
