Frido Wagener

Frido Wagener (* 1926 ; † January 6, 1985 ) was a German administrative scientist .

Life

Wagener received his doctorate in 1955 from the law and political science faculty of the University of Göttingen . In 1968 he completed his habilitation.

He was professor at the German University for Administrative Sciences Speyer (DHV) and from 1976 to 1984 managing director of the German Research Institute for Public Administration Speyer . He was also rector of the University of Administrative Sciences .

As early as 1969, Wagener presented a “concept of social planning”. He was one of the most prominent representatives in German-speaking countries at the end of the 1960s. With his habilitation thesis “New building of the administration” he laid out significant groundwork on the future of the federal administration in Germany.
