FriedensForum is a bimonthly magazine of the peace movement . The magazine is published by the “ Netzwerk Friedenskooperative ” in cooperation with the “ Friends of Peace ”. The PeaceForum has been published since 1983, at that time under the name "Circular Letter of the Peace Movement". In 1989 the name was changed to FriedensForum. The magazine has also been available online since 1997. The circulation is 3,000 issues per issue, of which 2,750 are subscriptions .

The PeaceForum offers information about actions and campaigns of the various groups and organizations from the peace movement, as well as critical background information, analyzes and comments on the current political situation. In each issue, the editorial team also sets a key topic that is highlighted by experts close to the peace movement. The main topics of the last few years included a. the war in Afghanistan, the Arab Spring , human rights , human dignity , arms lobbyism, arms exports and international law .
Editors and authors
The honorary editorial staff of the PeaceForum consists of representatives from various organizations of the peace movement:
- Martin Singe ( Committee for Fundamental Rights and Democracy )
- Christine Schweitzer ( Federation for Social Defense )
- Otmar Steinbicker (Aixpaix) and
- Renate Wanie (Workshop for Nonviolent Action, Baden)
The employees of the “Network Peace Cooperative” participate in the editorial work. The PeaceForum has a trunk of authors from the peace movement and peace research , including authors from other countries. The magazine appears in German. Foreign language articles are translated; they serve to transfer discussions from abroad to Germany.
