Game dates
The competitions took place on September 22nd, October 13th, November 24th, December 8th, 2002, January 19th, February 2nd and 16th, March 2nd and 23rd and April 6th and 13th, 2003. They were played decentrally at the clubs involved.
Season course
Although the defending champion Csuti Antal SK Zalaegerszeg lost to both ASE Paks and Nagykanizsa TSK , they prevailed with a 5 point lead. From the NL I / B. the Budapesti Egyetemi Atlétikai Club and Gödöllői Sakkbarátok Egyesülete rose. While the Budapesters achieved relegation, Gödöllő had to relegate again, together with PMSE Antenna Hung , whose top players had left the club.
