General and history
Leuna Church of Peace is located at Kirchplatz 1 . It is one of two churches in the city. It was donated by the BASF ammonia works in Leuna , also known as Leunawerke. Many people moved to Leuna through the Leuna Works, which is what made Leuna a city. The churches of the localities that were incorporated were no longer sufficient for the population. The Leunawerke founded a Catholic and a Protestant church. The Protestant church was built in 1930 in the style of New Building ; the architect was Adolf Herberger.
The exterior is kept simple, but is decorated with a figure of Christ . The tower with its tower is not quite as simple as that of the Christ the King Church .
