The Friedrich-Friesen-Stiftung is the party-affiliated state foundation of the AfD Saxony-Anhalt in the legal form of a registered association . It is named after the co-founder of German gymnastics, educator and freedom fighter Friedrich Friesen .

It was founded in July 2017. In August it was entered in the register of associations and in October of the same year it was recognized as a party-affiliated foundation of the AfD . The foundation is based in Magdeburg .

Due to the application deadline, the association has not yet received any government funding . In December 2018, the foundation filed a lawsuit against the state government to revise the funding decision for the 2019 budget year.

The chairman of the foundation is Jan Moldenhauer, who also works as a senior speaker and assistant to the board of the Saxony-Anhalt AfD parliamentary group and on the board of the AfD district association in Magdeburg .

The deputy chairman Andreas Graudin, the treasurer Matthias Kleiser and the assessor Ben Niclas Berressem are also employees of the AfD parliamentary group in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. Several board members are criticized because of their membership in the Marburg fraternity, which is characterized as ethnic Germania. The close connection between the foundation's board of directors and the AfD parliamentary group or its former parliamentary group leader André Poggenburg was also criticized.

The association publishes the Conservative Worksheets series .
