The Friedrich List Medal is a medal of honor awarded by the Federal Association of German Economists and Business Economists (bdvb). It is awarded to people who have rendered special services to the statutory goals of the bdvb. The medal commemorates the important German economic theorist Friedrich List (1789–1846).

history

The foundation of the Friedrich List Medal goes back to the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Reich Association of German Economists , a predecessor of the bdvb.

Award

The Friedrich List Medal can be awarded in two stages (gold and silver). The award takes place either on the recommendation of the Presidium and the Advisory Board or on the recommendation of the Presidium and a resolution of the General Assembly of the bdvb.
