Friedrich Arfmann

Friedrich Arfmann (born in the 20th century ) is a former German rowing athlete .

Career

Friedrich Arfmann comes from Bremen . Since he was interested in rowing from a young age, he became a member of the Bremen rowing club Hansa . As a discipline within the rowing sport, he chose the four-man with a helmsman . His achievements justified the fact that he was soon used in national and international competitions. In 1958 he and his team won the German championship in the four with helmsman.

That same year, his boat was at the European Championships in the cast Georg Niermann , Arfmann, Werner Kollmann , Albrecht Wehselau and Gerd Jürgen Behring as helmsman European champions in the coxed four.

For winning the European Championship, he and his team were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on January 31, 1959 .
