Friedrich Brueckl

Friedrich Brückl (* 1756 in Vienna ; † after March 30, 1814) was an Austrian theater actor .

Life

Brückl went to the theater at a young age and took the stage in Leipzig as early as 1770. His next major engagements were the court theater in Dresden and the city theaters in Leipzig, Frankfurt am Main and Prague. In his History of German Drama , Eduard Devrient reported characteristic interesting details, perhaps better said naughtiness, as well as his arbitrary extemporalization, which offends every educated listener . If one ignored all these follies, however, there remained a lasting seriousness and zeal for the cause. The last time he performed in Germany was on March 30, 1814, in Prague, then he moved with his family to St. Petersburg, his future career is unknown.
