The Friedrichsruh is a field cross and a popular hiking destination in Rannungen . It stands on the so-called Kaplanpfad near the "Secret Mountain".

The field cross was erected in the forest in 1851 after "terrifying events" happened there to Caspar Friedrich, the chaplain of Runner. In 1918 it was renewed by those returning from the war from Rannungen.

It is made of red painted wood, has a body and is roofed at an angle. The floor cross surrounds a small fenced area with plantings.
