Friends (The Beach Boys song)
Friends is a song written for the Beach Boys by Brian Wilson , Carl Wilson , Dennis Wilson and Al Jardine . It was released on their 1968 album Friends . The song was also released as a single, with Little Bird as the b-side. The single reached number 47 in the US and number 25 in the UK . The song was recorded in March 1968.
Brian Wilson once said that he thought Friends was a great way to keep Waltz alive.
Peter Reum, a Beach Boys expert, said, " Friends is a waltz and was used at Berklee College of Music to teach students how to compose in 3/4 time."
