Shades of color

The colors recognized in Germany are yellow-white flocked, lemon-black flocked, gold-black flocked, silver-black flocked, red-black flocked, red-black flocked with white feather ends, black-white pecked, creamed, black, blue and white. The yellow and white flaky chicken has the most unusual drawing and is probably the most attractive. It is colored in different shades of yellow, and each of its body feathers has a special pattern. This is not the case with other chicken breeds. All colors have orange eyes, white ear disks and slate blue legs.

Dwarf variant

There is also a dwarf form of this breed of chicken, the dwarf Friesian chicken, weighing between 0.45 and 0.55 kg. In Germany it occurs mainly in lemon-black flake forms.
