Live steam

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When live steam is called the steam with its parameters with which the guide vanes and rotor blades of a steam turbine can be acted upon.

In contrast to this, exhaust steam refers to the steam at the turbine outlet, which has done its work in the turbine. This can then be returned to the steam generator for superheating purposes so that it can be used again in the turbine (referred to as intermediate steam ).
