Fritz Steinfelser

Fritz Steinfelser (born June 7, 1912 in Vienna ; † April 21, 2004 in Linz ) was an Austrian architect .

Live and act

After secondary school in Waidhofen an der Ybbs , Fritz Steinfelser studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology from 1931 to 1936 . He worked for Paul Bonatz in Stuttgart until 1939 , then he was drafted into military service in Munich with General Building Officer Paul Giesler , and in 1940 he was drafted into the Wehrmacht. After 1945 he worked for architects in Vienna, Wels and Linz and in 1948 joined the municipal department at the Linz Design Office, where he was the senior building officer until 1974. From 1974 to 1986 Steinfelser ran his own architectural office together with Schinko and Novak in Linz and in Vienna with Josef Jaksch.
