Fruit cake

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the fruit tree , the fruit cake is the thickened attachment point of a fruit or its stem on the branch .

New flowers or fruit skewers are often created from previous year's fruit cakes. When pruning trees, make sure that enough fruit cake is left over. The so-called whisk wood is formed from the short fruit skewers and the fruit cake. Crustaceans often develop when harvesting in wet weather. Compare also the placenta (botany) .
