The parish church of Lohnsburg is dedicated to St. Nicholas and was first mentioned in a document in 1153. The choir has a 5/8 end , the originally Gothic nave was converted in 1723 into a cross-vaulted central nave and two cross-vaulted side aisles. The west tower is designed with an octagon-shaped attachment and pointed helmet. The altar was created by Josef Furthner , the top angel of the left side altar came from Franz Schwanthaler, as well as the Altöttinger Madonna and the top figures of St. Andreas and St. Francis, all from the year 1726. The baptismal font is late Gothic, the bell is dated to 1537.
