The cross was erected in 1929 with two iron statues at the fork in the road to Neuhaus and Winten. According to legend, a devil is said to have been up to mischief here, who no longer showed up after the cross was erected. |

The construction of the church began in 1358 on the site of the Ahammer castle, which then resided in Neuhaus Castle. The parish uprising took place on February 3, 1359. In 1717 the Marienkapelle was added as a side aisle, in 1719 the relics of St. Transfer Jupiter here. The church, which is essentially Gothic, was given a new baroque tower (48 m high) in 1754. The last major restoration took place in 1983. |
