Full operational capability

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Full Operational Capability ( FOC ) describes the formal status of a project and is mostly used in a military or state context. Full operational capability is usually considered to be achieved as soon as the product is fully operational and meets all the required specifications. For example, on July 17, 1995, the full operational capability of the GPS system was declared. The same applies z. B. when introducing new weapon systems in the military.

In contrast, the initial operating capability is declared at an earlier point in time when the product can only be used to a limited extent .
