Gábor Halász (journalist)
Gábor Halász [ ga: bor hala: s ] (* 1977 in Leipzig ) is a German journalist with Hungarian roots. He is an ARD television correspondent in South Asia. From New Delhi he reports on India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Life
Gábor Halász studied journalism and history. From 2000 to 2001 he volunteered at Westdeutscher Rundfunk. He then switched to MDR, worked as an author for Tagesschau and Tagesthemen and moderated at MDR Info. In 2011 he switched to the North German Broadcasting Corporation in Hamburg. Since January 2012 he has been an ARD television correspondent in South Asia ( posted by HR ).
