Général d'armée
Général d'armée (German " Army General ") is the highest military rank in France with the rank of general . A Général d'armée is equivalent to a four-star general in some other countries, but has five stars as a badge of rank.
He ranks above the Général de corps d'armée . The seven-star Maréchal de France is not a rank, but a position and is currently not assigned.
The term "Général d'armée" appears for the first time in Napoleon I's army . on; there, however, it was not a rank, but only a temporary position.
