Góios is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Barcelos . The community had 555 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the territorial reform on September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Góios, Gueral , Pedra Furada , Courel and Chorente were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Chorente, Góios, Courel, Pedra Furada e Gueral .
