The Gölbaşı Dam ( Turkish Gölbaşı Barajı ) is a dam on the Aksu Deresi, a tributary of the Nilüfer Çayı , 22 km east of the provincial capital Bursa in the province of the same name in northwestern Turkey .
It was built between 1933–1938 for the purpose of irrigation . The barrier structure is a 12 m high homogeneous earthfill dam . The dam volume is 320,000 m³. The reservoir covers an area of 2.75 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 14.3 million m³. The dam is used to irrigate an area of 1816 ha.
