Götz Leineweber

Götz Leineweber (* 1969 ) is a German dramaturge and theater maker . In Cologne he has been a partner in Context GmbH since 1991.

Career

Leineweber studied philosophy and ethnology at the University of Cologne and postgraduate in cultural journalism at the University of the Arts, Berlin .

During his studies he wrote reports, interviews, theater and film reviews as a freelance cultural journalist. From 2004 to 2007 he was at the Volksbühne Berlin , from 2007 to 2013 at the Schauspiel Köln and from 2013 to 2019 at the Residenztheater Munich . From 2015 to 2019 he taught "Dramaturgy and Theater History" in the Brack class at the University of Fine Arts, Munich, since 2019 "Storytelling" at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna and for the Goethe Institute in India.

Since 2018 he has directed at the New Theater in Riga .

Leineweber lives with his family in Vienna .
