Local freight transport (Austria)

Freight transport , according to cargo transportation law was until 1991 the transport within 65 km by truck more than 3.5 t. Everything above that was called long-distance freight transport .

It was necessary to have a separate license to carry out these transports.

In the course of the EU adaptation of the laws, this term was deleted from the laws. However, it is still used colloquially.

Since then there have only been the terms domestic goods traffic and cross-border goods traffic
