GK Gilbert Award
The GK Gilbert Award of the Geological Society of America is awarded for achievements in planetary geology. It is named after Grove Karl Gilbert .
There is also the GK Gilbert Award for Excellence in Geomorphic Research . It should not be confused with the William Gilbert Award of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), named after William Gilbert . The AGU also awards a GK Gilbert Award in Surface Processes .
