The GAG Ludwigshafen is the municipal housing company of the city of Ludwigshafen . It is the largest municipal construction company in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The GAG Ludwigshafen am Rhein Aktiengesellschaft for residential, commercial and urban development was established in 1920. As of June 4, 2013, the GAG ​​had a housing stock of 12,838 apartments in which around 30,000 citizens live. The shareholders are the city of Ludwigshafen, LUWOGE (housing company of BASF SE ) and ten other companies and banks in Ludwigshafen.

With total assets of 487 million euros (2013), the investment volume in 2013 was around 66.5 million euros.

This is divided roughly into:

  • 17 million: maintenance
  • 50 million: new buildings and modernization measures

The company's largest projects are the new construction of the south bank of the Rhine with 11.1 million and the partial tranche of the renovation of 700 apartments in the Ebertsiedlung.
