The GDS - International Shoe Fair (GDS for G reat D erman S chuhmusterschau) is an international shoe fair in Dusseldorf , by the Fair Dusseldorf organized.

The GDS takes place twice a year: in spring and in autumn. As a trade fair, the GDS is aimed at members of the shoe industry, especially buyers from the shoe trade.

In particular, women's, men's and children's shoes are on display. In addition, the product list includes special shoes such as B. sports shoes and slippers, but also accessories and shoe accessories. In addition, the GDS also addresses shop window design and shop fitting for shoe shops as well as merchandise management systems for the shoe trade.

More than 3000 collections from around 1500 exhibitors from around 50 countries are on display.

GDS was closed in 2016 due to a decline in exhibitors and visitors. Today's Gallery Shoes emerged from it and is also organized by Messe Düsseldorf.
