Dangerous goods database

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The dangerous goods database ( GGDAT ) is a fire brigade database that was originally set up for Tyrol by Werner Zigler from Hall in Tirol together with Alois Weiss .

Since 2005, the technical support of GGDAT has been transferred to the chemist Manfred Holzer. He is the clerk for dangerous goods in the Tyrolean Fire Brigade Association (LFV-Tirol). In the meantime, the dangerous goods database has spread across Austria and Germany .

Comprehensive safety data for numerous substances can be queried quickly and easily and printed out as an application data sheet. It contains the most important information for the fire department chief in a clear and practical form on one page. In addition to the incorporation of the biennial ADR changes, substance data are continuously updated or adapted to new findings. The operational experience of fire brigades (resistance of material etc.) can also be taken into account very flexibly in separate text fields. Content-related suggestions can be sent to the editor at any time by email.

LFV-Tirol's hazardous goods vehicles are equipped with laptops and GGDAT throughout the country.

In addition, accompanying documents for the transport of dangerous goods can be created very easily from the GGDAT.
