GIFA
The GIFA (foundry trade fair) is an international trade fair for foundry technology that has been taking place in Düsseldorf since 1956 . It takes place every four years.
It is the world's most important trade fair for the foundry sector. In addition to foundry systems and other machines and devices for foundry equipment , measuring devices , control technology , refractory materials, foundry chemistry, machines and aids for mold and core production and for model and mold construction , gate and feeder technology and raw casting after-treatment up to conveyor and storage technology are exhibited .
In the past, GIFA often took place together with METAV (trade fair for metal processing). In recent years, the metallurgy trade fair METEC , the trade fair for thermal process technology THERMPROCESS and the trade fair for cast products NEWCAST have taken place parallel to GIFA .
In 2015, GIFA had 2,214 exhibitors and 78,000 visitors.
