GNN publishing house

GNN-Verlag is a group of German publishers and includes different companies. According to their own presentation, the GNN publishers in Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart, Schkeuditz and Berlin form "a network of anti-fascist publishers working together on an equal footing, each with its own regional focus, regional owners and regional users."

The book publications have been concentrating on contemporary history , biographies , fiction and poetry since 2003 .

Corporate structure

The GNN publishing group consists of several companies (as of 2009):

  • GNN society for news acquisition and news distribution, publishing company for Saxony / Berlin mbH
  • GNN Society for News Collection and Dissemination, Publishing Company Political Reports mbH
  • GNN Society for news acquisition and news distribution, publishing company in Schleswig-Holstein / Hamburg mbH
  • GNN Verlag Süd GmbH

history

The publishing group emerged from the party publishing house of the same name of the Federation of West German Communists (BWK) and was occasionally mentioned in reports on the protection of the constitution . The GNN published the Political Reports and other publications of the BWK from 1980 in Munich, from 1981 in Cologne . She later published publications by other groups such as B. the Popular Front and documents of the Red Army Faction . By the end of 2008, the Cologne-based GNN-Verlag published the print version of the information about relatives .

Political orientation

According to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Baden-Württemberg, the GNN is now close to the Left Party . The constitution protection offices of the states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony attribute the GNN publishers to the left-wing extremist spectrum.
