The GWH apartment mbH Hessen (GWH) is a property company based in Frankfurt am Main .
GWH has around 50,000 apartments, around 5,000 of which are for property management and agency services for third parties. The focus of business activity is on the Rhine-Main area , the economically prosperous areas in North and Central Hesse, the Rhine-Neckar area and the Rhineland. The Erfurt and Hanover regions are growth markets.
The company is divided into four business segments. The largest area is the management of your own portfolio. There are also the real estate trading, project development and services segments. Until 2011, GWH operated under the name GWH Gemeinnützige Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH Hessen. The project development and new construction segment was spun off into the subsidiary GWH Bauprojekte GmbH in 2014 .
The company is part of the Helaba Group and covers the areas of housing management and property development. Christian Schmid, member of the Helaba Management Board, is chairman of the supervisory board.
