The Gabelweiher, also known as Gabelhorst Weiher , is a 1.6 hectare lake in Espelkamp , in the East Westphalian district of Minden-Lübbecke . The lake is located immediately south of the Alder Elementary School and west of federal highway 239 .

The Gabelweiher is not an officially designated swimming lake - the larger lake on Kleihügel just under 2 kilometers to the west of the town of Espelkamp is available for this. At the same time, the lake, as a quickly accessible body of water in the Espelkamp city center area, has its importance as a recreation area and green lung for walks, joggers and the like. a.
