Gabriele Gabriel

Gabriele Gabriel (born April 20, 1946 in Potsdam ) is a German writer who has written detective novels, poetry and fairy tales.

Life

Gabriele Gabriel graduated from secondary school in 1962 and then completed an apprenticeship as a food chemistry laboratory assistant. From 1966 to 1970 she worked at the Institute for Organic Chemistry at the Pedagogical University in Potsdam. There she also studied chemistry (1967–1969) and completed her studies as a chemical-technical assistant. This was followed by a job as a criminalist in Potsdam and at the same time studying political science and criminalistics at a technical school. In 1979 she enrolled at the Johannes R. Becher Institute for Literature in Leipzig. Her existence as a freelance writer began three years later.
