Gabriele Kordowski

Gabriele Kordowski (born September 11, 1953 in Dortmund ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2007 to 2010 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Kordowski left school in 1969 with the secondary school leaving certificate and then attended a nursing school from 1969 to 1973, from which she graduated with the state examination. During this time, in 1972 she began additional training in neurology and psychiatry, which lasted until 1974. From 1978 to 1980 she trained as an operating room nurse. She worked in her profession until 1999. From June 2006 she has been employed by the state commissioner for the penal system .

politics

Kordowski has been a member of the CDU since 1984. From 1991 to 2007 she was chairwoman of the CDU city association Schwerte and since 1995 deputy chairwoman of the district association Unna . Since 1999 she has been a member of the CDU state executive committee in North Rhine-Westphalia and since 1999 a member of the CDU district association in the Ruhr area. In the 13th legislative period from 2000 to 2005 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. She was not re-elected in the 2005 state elections, but moved to parliament on December 3, 2007 after MP Michael Breuer left the country. She is a full member of the committee for work, health and social affairs and chairwoman of the study commission "Development of proposals for an effective prevention policy in North Rhine-Westphalia".
