Gabriele Sievers

Gabriele Sievers married Gabriele Bennecke , (born April 20, 1961 in Kiel ) is a former German bodybuilder . She is German champion and four-time world champion of the World Amateur Body Building Association (WABBA) and the National Amateur Bodybuilders Association (NABBA).

biography

Sievers got into bodybuilding at the age of 16 through her boyfriend, trainer and later husband Volker Roese. After half a year she entered the Schleswig-Holstein Championships and immediately came third. Despite concerns from family and surroundings, who could not do anything with the fringe sport of fitness at the time and dismissed muscles in women as "unfeminine", Sievers soon trained professionally. It made its debut at the German Championships in 1982, but was only last. After Sievers had trained several kilograms of muscle mass and improved her posing, she was twelfth at the WABBA World Championships that same year. Her breakthrough came in 1983 when she became German champion and a little later was elected Miss World at the WABBA World Championships in Geneva . In 1984 she moved to the competitor association NABBA, where she became world champion in Belgrade in 1984, in Graz in 1985 and in Vienna in 1987. During this time she founded a fitness studio for women in Kiel.

Sievers separated from her first husband in the mid-1990s and lives in the second marriage with her husband Jörg in Bremer Neustadt. She has four sisters and three brothers and is a trained paralegal. During her competition time her first name was changed to the English "Gabrielle" several times.
