Gaby Canizales
Gaby Canizales (* 1. May 1960 in Brooklyn , USA ) is a retired American boxer in the bantamweight .
Professional career
In 1979 he successfully started his professional career. On March 10, 1986 he boxed against Richie Sandoval for the world championship title of the association WBA and won by technical knockout in round 7. However, this title lost in his first title defense in June of the same year to Bernardo Piñango on points.
On March 12, 1991 he won the WBO world championship belt when he knocked out Miguel Lora in the second round. He also lost this belt in his first title defense at the end of June of the same year to Duke McKenzie on points
In 1991 he ended his career.
