Gail Kopplin

Gail F. Kopplin (born May 20, 1939 in Sterling , Nebraska ) is an American politician and school councilor.

Kopplin studied at Peru State College ( Bachelor of Education ) and at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln ( Master of Education ). After graduating in 1968, he entered the school service of the city of Gretna . He started as a primary school teacher and in the following years held various positions in the school administration of Gretna. From 1985 Kopplin was superintendent for the school district Gretna, which he held for fourteen years.

In addition to his actual professional activity, Gail Kopplin was active on various committees such as the Chamber of Commerce of Gretna and the Nebraska Association of School Administrators . In 2004 he ran in the 3rd constituency for a seat in Parliament of Nebraska . He defeated incumbent Ray Mossey with 62.28% of the vote. Kopplin was state senator from 2005 to the end of 2008, and he was unable to win re-election. In November 2008, Koppling was inferior to Scott Price by 47.32% .
